Livable was created to fulfill one mission: provide high quality jewelry for those who live an active lifestyle, so that you never have to take it off.
Liv moved to Miami in 2016 to attend architecture school. Through school and several part time jobs, she found a group fitness studio that was looking for instructors. Since her mom had also been a personal trainer, it felt right to jump at the opportunity. So, in 2018, she became certified as a group fitness instructor. This became her passion as she worked early mornings & late nights through her five years of school. However, once graduation arrived in 2021, she felt it was only right to close the teaching chapter of her life. She owed it to herself to fully dedicate her time to the field she studied in. She said goodbye to her group fitness studio and pursued a full-time career in construction management.
Fast forward to 2022, Liv made her semi-return to the teaching scene. She now juggles her full-time construction job with subbing classes at Orangetheory (obviously, she just couldn't stay away). It was around this time that LIVABLE was conceived, although it had been subconsciously brewing for years. She has always had signature jewelry pieces that she never takes off - pieces that she got at farmers markets, random boutiques, etc. But nothing is more disappointing than paying your hard earned money for a necklace that will turn your neck green after one week. So she began researching. She learned what metals are durable enough to endure her active lifestyle. And once she was done researching? She bought sample pieces of rings, necklaces, and earrings, and wore them for months to put them to the test. Once her research proved correct, she knew it was time to start building her inventory.
The name Livable came to her unexpectedly, walking through the Detroit airport after attending a cousin's wedding. She was afraid to tell anyone for a while, because it made the possibility of this business feel... real. Yet, little by little, she took the steps necessary to make this tiny bud of a silly idea, a total reality.
